Challenge 30 has begun and i have sore feet! lol
Today I completed CHALLENGE NUMBER 1 of 30 a 26 mile trek around London
SUNDAY 13th May 2012
TOTAL RAISED TO DATE £1500 please add to this one my JUSTGIVING PAGE and help me save lives
Alison Catchpole and Jackie Argent completed this Trek with me in under 8 hours (including stopping time to eat and stretch!)
The Trek started in The Olympic village and ended up in Greenwich walking along a canal through Camden and past Buckingham Palace where the changing of the guards was taking place and along the Themes.
I thought that this would be one of the easier challenges and maybe it was! (in that case I'm scared about the rest!) I am not sure i have ever had blisters as big! poor feet!
This was an amazing Challenge, although I am in London a lot I tend to pop on to the tube pop up where I need to be and then disappear back underground again, it was great to see more of London! I discovered Little Venice! what a lovely place! cute little river boat café's that I will be visiting one day

Why am I doing this!!!
I consider myself as one of the world extremely lucky
people, I was born and raised in England and have always had a world of
opportunities on my door step, I consider myself lucky because there is so much
suffering in the world, people suffering from malnutrition due to lack of food,
no clean water to drink, no shelter, no education, woman and children suffering
from abuse and simply a basic lack of human rights that every human being on
the planet should be entitled to.
I sat at home wondering what I could do to make a difference
in the lives of these people how I could help give people, especially children,
hope. Everyone deserves hope, everyone deserves to dream and everyone deserves
opportunities, I believe that providing people with their basic human rights,
the right to an education, the right to eat, the right to drink clean and safe
water and the right to have self-respect and to be treated respectfully by
others is something that we should all work closely together to help achieve.
I decided that I would set myself a challenge to raise as
much money as possible to help children suffering around the world, I came
across a charity called Hope for Children that runs amazing projects around the
world and I have set myself a task, it’s called Challenge 30, I am hoping that
Challenge 30 will raise a substantial amount of money to help the charity Hope
for Children, helping them to make a difference.
With my 30th birthday soon approaching I have
decided to dedicate my 30th year to help children, I will be
completing 30 challenges over the year including treks, runs, a skydive and
facing my biggest fear amongst plenty of other crazy things in return for
sponsorship for the charity Hope for Children

I am feeling very inspired right now!
Hello My Challenge 30 friends!
Thank you for following my blog, I really want to make this thing massive so please ask your friends to follow too!!??
I went to speak to Rachel from the charity Hope for Children yesterday and to meet the rest or the gang. What an amazing place that is, a really small charity that makes sure all of the money donated to them goes straight to the children that need it and not through the government where it can get lost, its great to meet so many people that passionate about a great cause
The second part of my day yesterday took me to Harley street to meet a fantastic lady called Linda who has agreed to help me with my biggest challenge that I have thought of so far ... to give blood!!! now I know to some of you this wouldn't sound half as frighting as to jump 10000ft out of a plane or as hard as walking all the steps involved in walking the Great wall of China! but to me its my biggest fear and not a fear a phobia! Linda is a hypnotherapist and she said she thinks she will be able to help me get over it and I have every faith in her.
So hence why I am feeling very inspired right now!!
Thanks for reading my blog guys
Love Sarah
